When one thinks of the Netherlands it’s often tulips, windmills, wooden shoes, a certain, shall we say, liberal attitude toward herbal medicine, and canals that come to mind. But there are many more things that characterize this great country. Did you know that they were the first country in the world to legalize same sex marriages? Brazil is a country of a stunning contradictions. While more than 70 millions of its inhabitants have access to Internet and possess a smartphone, 16 million of its citizens still live in extreme poverty. Brazil comes in 10th in terms of countries with greatest social inequality.

 

Its citizens understand the country’s situation well and are actively trying to show the rest of the world that Brazilians are motivated, creative and care about the well-being of their country. Imagination for People (I4P) is an open-source internet platform devoted to helping social entrepreneurs all over the world. Basically, we are building online tools to help people who want to change the world for the better. Our activities fall under two umbrellas :

  1. Creating tools to empower social innovators
  2. Creating tools to foster collective intelligence amongst large groups
