About the project Edit

The Incubator is a project-development tool with DVD that guides young people through a simple, fun, and effective 4-hour workshop.

Imagine. Thousands of young people identifying and combining their strengths and knowledge with their classmates to come up with innovative ways to make money, to help the environment, and to help other people.

Imagine inspiring them to develop cutting-edge ideas without having to say more than a handful of words.

Imagine if you could open a small kit and as if by magic, thousands of young people would be mobilized and motivated to find solutions to problems in their communities.

We imagined it. We did it. See it at www.321incubator.com

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Simplicity. Applicability. Effectiveness. Potential.vv

What is the social value of this project? Edit

Although the main goal of The Incubator is to improve project-development skills, it also has the potential to address problems, improve situations and increase financial prosperity as more and more youth participate in the workshop within their respective schools and communities.

What is the potential of this project to expand and develop? Edit

At this point, The Incubator is present and used in every public secondary school in Quebec and is now present in 90% of the French language schools across Canada. We are beginning to expand into the United States and France. We believe that in approaching governments, departments of Education, and school boards, we can affect positive change through the efforts of youth in every continent of the world.

What was the triggering factor of this project? Edit

We decided that the best way to teach valuable project development and entrepreneurial skills would be to engage youth in the process rather than teach the theory. We also looked for a strategy to mobilize and motivate the greatest number of youth possible, and this can only be done by making it easy for others to do the same. The Incubator was born out of the desire to help other teachers and youth workers easily engage and empower youth.

What is the business model of this project? Edit

The Incubator’s significant diffusion throughout Quebec and Canada is due to extremely valuable partnerships that we created to achieve this goal. Our model now
focuses on the diffusion of the Incubator throughout the world by creating financial and promotional partnerships with governments, school boards and departments of education.
