About the project Edit

A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting culture, The Blue Line’s mission is to facilitate the population’s participation in places along Montreal’s blue metro line.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Your point of contact with this new cultural universe is a Web platform that links all cultural programming partners along the blue line, but not only that because this is not the end of the Web platform, it’s the starting point; a gateway to join a multicultural, urban, citizen community that discovers, likes, shares, suggests and participates in. A community explores comments, breeds and lives culture through the programming of cultural partners, specific events, neighbourhood discoveries and their well-kept secrets thanks to the Blue Line’s website.

What was the triggering factor of this project? Edit

Valérie Beaulieu, Co-General Manager – Operations and David Lavoie, Co-General Manager – Finance, had previously worked on cultural places along the blue line. At that time, the public that they were meeting to promote cultural activities in these neighbourhoods had often told them that it was difficult to access and relatively unknown. They, therefore, want to remedy the situation.
