About the project Edit

Streets Utd claims to be "the first-ever global resource base for urban arts, street sports and music". This UK company represents a variety of discipline such as human beatboxers, parkour and free-running artists, football freestylers, BMX flat-landers, MCs, DJs, singers, songwriters, breakdancers, streetdancers, trial riders, graffiti artists, basketball freestylers and street acrobats. It offers different services such as consultancy for street performers, corporate entertainment service, which supplies artists for parties, launches and guerrilla marketing campaigns, and workshops, which take street sports and arts into the community.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Despite having sucessfully launched a business which represents a burgeoning public interest in all things "street"- a unique thing is itself, Streets Utd is recognized for its approach that goes beyond usual business. Streets Utd's unique approach aims at knocking down barriers to social integration and allows to work in any environment, creating bespoke community regeneration projects, corporate social responsibility packages for organizations or simply inspiring crowds (corporate or general public) at events and local youth centers.

Community workshops are the cornerstone of Streets Utd's philosophy. The company started its activity by supplying a community of performers to the Kick racism out of football UK tour and the BBC your Game Youth tournament. It then evolved with school projects, drop-in centres, community development, troubled-youth projects and workshops for underprivileged regions of the world. Activities cover also creative urban and street art such as solar art, sand sculpting, low grow, sand tagging, sea tagging, etc..

What is the social value of this project? Edit

Streets Utd hopes to have an impact directly on the community and at a grass root level. They aim at getting the youth to perform street sports and teaching Londoners how to coach street sports. Streets Utd are considered rebels with a cause, edgy street performers who have found a creative balance between helping the underprivileged and running a private business.
