About the project Edit

The Social Innovation Camp is a creative event that brings together software developers, designers and social innovators to prototype effective web-based solutions to real social problems.

In 2008, the first camp took place in London with the help of NESTA and the Young Foundation. Since then, there have been 15 SI camps in the world in countries such as Georgia, Slovakia, Nigeria, South Korea and Australia.

The Camp has spawned a number of successful projects such as: Enabled by Design, the Good Gym, My Police, FLIP, FixMyStreet and Kiva.
