Seasonal markets bring life to neighbourhoods and give access to local crops through resident participation, healthy diet, buying locally, food safety and urban revitalization.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

The seasonal market is a friendly urban space located at the heart of a community. Its location makes it easy to access seasonal crops of fresh fruits and vegetables and pooling resources provides attractive prices.

What is the potential of this project to expand and develop? Edit

From 2007 to 2009, a pilot project supported various market arrangements in a dozen Montreal neighbourhoods underserved in terms of healthy food at an affordable cost.
