About the project Edit

(revolver) is a table d’hote (host table) restaurant offering a multi-course prix-fixe dinner. We change our offerings, serving from a different menu each dinner.

Traditionally, table d’hote services were offered at small bed and breakfast establishments for vacationers, with all patrons sharing a meal with the proprietors. We maintain this tradition by providing an intimate dining experience in a convivial atmosphere fostered by communal style seating and attentive service.

The name (revolver) alludes to our revolving menu-- no guns.


In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

(revolver) employs up and coming chefs from all over and does not have a set style of food. They allow new chefs to share their skills with the community and provide a unique dining experience. They also focus on using local ingredients.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

The project offers a different business model to dining. Rather than each chef being employed in one restaurant, (revolver) offers the kitchen space and allows the chefs to design their own menus and test them on diners.

(revolver) employs a unique model by working with a revolving cast of guest chefs, each specializing in a particular food genre and or meal style. since our guest chefs are responsible for designing and preparing our meals, our menu changes with each chef.
(revolver) represents the best of the Detroit's upstart and established culinary talent.
