Reboot is a serious game with the goal of using a laboratory to conceive, test and compare new political and alternative economic models among them.

To create a virtual sandbox universe where bricks will allow the imagination to run wild and confront the creations between them.

To create a fun space that makes people want to get involved and ask questions about the areas that they find too serious or complicated.


In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

A game of management where the rules evolve and are written by the players.
A game that does not limit players to predefined models, but is inspired by real and known models.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

To find models that worked in a virtual world that is close to the real one on several aspects.

To test and compare alternative ideas (that sometimes work locally) in a virtual context without physical limitations and with a large number of participants (base revenue, voting power, choosing representatives by drawing lots, constituent assemblies, citizen currency, and a monolithic, vertical, hierarchical structure).

To find and compare business models that are more respectable and money would only be a tool and not an objective.

To find new participatory political organizational models where citizens would be more important and have more of an impact on decisions.

What is the potential of this project to expand and develop? Edit

What was the triggering factor of this project? Edit

This project is the result of reflecting on current problems, questioning our world and its models.

There are solutions that exist to deal with these problems, but for the few that they touch in the political and economic worlds, it is very difficult to implement them.

Often simply because they require big changes – sometimes “radical” – and they impact people enormously.

Another consideration is that ideas diverge and are often only theoretical, and the power of action is in the hands of a very small part of the population.

What is the business model of this project? Edit

Crowd-funding, donations, social micro-payments

Participative funding allows future players to get involved in developing the game.

Advertising, Partnerships and Advertisers

Once there is a significant number of users, advertisers’ ads can be imbedded in the game (in a way that is not intrusive to the player, but is still noticeable).


If these models are insufficient, personalization of the game’s experience could be made pay-to-play, but without affecting the game itself.
