The project "Opera bis" aims to offer and share for the first time ever throughout the world - international French-speaking cultural content online. It combines the Opera of Rennes, which provides access to the 2010-2011 season performances and the association "Bibliothèque francophone du métavers". Responsible for setting up, in the virtual world, the technical organization, as well as, welcoming the public and ensuring that the shows runs smoothly.
A cross-media strategy will be developed using Web 2.0 tools and social networks to bring together a community of public photos, texts and videos to collaborative platforms. This toolbox will be used to test and develop a methodology to increase promotion / diffusion / trustworthiness, while running a network (via twitter alerts, announcements via the website, sharing via video, exchange sites, dialogue via social networks, sharing social experiences in live 3D web/virtual worlds). The performances, events and visits will be shown live in Rennes for free, but only through online booking.
Operabis accommodates people with disabilities and sick children, which through their avatars, share the shows with Internet users and the public. The shows are free.
