Rethink Education! This is Hytle’s mantra. Founded in March 2009, Hytle is a self-manageable virtual environment that concentrates any type of educational content, which can be produced, edited, published, made available free of charge or marketed by any person or company.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Hytle is like an E-bay focused on educational content. Those who already have certain educational content in online format can resell it on Hytle, those who have certain knowledge and want to transform it into an online course may edit, publish and sell in Hytle. For users who seek to learn something, find in Hytle a multitude of courses concentrated on a single virtual environment.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

By driving the creation and integration of social networks per area of knowledge, Hytle will be the bridge between those who want to learn and those who have something to teach.

For the founders of Hytle, Jose Rodolpho Bernardoni and Leonardo Lenz, the site offers the possibility to teach and spread knowledge in every place that has a computer with an Internet connection. In addition it serves as a place where there is a concentration of educational content. “In Brazil there are places where the technology has arrived, but access to schools and knowledge in general is still quite difficult. The goal with Hytle is to let people share the things they know and learn about things that haven’t reached them yet,” says Bernardoni.

Hytle´s project was conceived in the Institute of Technology in Knowledge, an e-learning startup belonging to the Center for Business Innovation of the Getulio Vargas Foundation, a business school in Brazil.
