Part-time shared is an innovative formula that allows business executives to share their time between 2, 3 or 4 employers who are not direct competitors. This formula is becoming increasingly popular with small and medium businesses, which do not have means to pay for full-time work or do not have the workload required. This concept was developed in the framework of 1901 French law associations, which facilitate the return to work, in particular, for senior executives. Executives on a time-shared basis is for experienced workers, who can be operational in no time.

Also called the multi-wage, this formula appears to be a solution when an SME needs a particular skill (quality manager, administrative controller, director of marketing and communication), but hiring someone full-time is not necessary, the investment is too important for them or when this need for a skill cannot be satisfied - neither by using a temporary framework nor by hiring a consultant. For the price of an executive or full-time engineer, the company can get two skills that are lacking.

The employer benefits from having more flexibility without making the employee feel insecure. Hiring a full-time worker during a time of uncertainty is a step that SMEs are reluctant to take. The time shared can then be used as an intermediate step and can minimize the risk taken by the employer. Similarly, the employee's job no longer depends on the vitality of a single company - if one fails, the other will always be there to prevent a period of unemployment. [1] For the employees, sharing their skills between several employers and undertaking one or more positions gives them more experience, which makes them more efficient and independent.
