About the project Edit

Located in K-135 on the Rimouski campus, Eco UQAR is a lab that integrates two types of energy: wind and solar. Wind tunnel, wind turbine, solar panels and insolation lamp are some of the equipment in place.

Eco UQAR also has an educational component that allows renewable energy to be introduced. “We are currently building a virtual lab. All available instruments are on an online software platform”, explains Drishty Singh Ramdenee who holds a PhD in aerodynamic engineering.

The Eco UQAR team is also open to give workshops to primary, secondary and CEGEP students. “We are ready to help eeachers who want to develop a course, but who don’t have expertise in renewable energy or who want support to facilitate understanding of certain principles in physics,” adds Pierre-Luc Paradis.
