About the project Edit

For the second year in a row, le Jardin Moderne (or Modern Garden) is organizing Digital Garden #2 from February 6 to 10, 2013, in Rennes.

An event dedicated to creative and alternative digital practices, it provides training on open source software to the public with qualified and motivated stakeholders.

Digital Garden #2 is also about fun and interactive exhibits for the public, conferences, workshops, a CodeLab cocktail (yes, the 20th), concerts and many other activities.

Also, for the first time in France, we will be hosting the original Piano Stairs. Created by Italian-American Rémo Saraceni, this interactive musical installation will be the entire event at the Charles de Gaulle metro in Rennes.

And to close the festivities with music, a concert with Son of Kick, Foreign Beggars and Bogoff will take place Saturday, February 9th at the Antipode.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

With the exception of the closing concert, Digital Garden #2 is totally free. It opens up the world of do-it-yourself and hacking” (meaning diversion) to the general public.

Whether you’re a digital pro or a curious beginner, you’ll find something (hopefully more than enough) that interests you in innovative and digital practices.
