About the project Edit

From 13th to 20th November 2012, you can be part of the Child Health Now campaign’s Global Week of Action. Every year, nearly 7 million children die before their fifth birthday - and many of those causes are easily prevented or treatable, such as pneumonia, neonatal causes, malnutrition and diarrhoea. Although progress is being made, it’s not happening fast enough.

That’s why we need your help to make all leaders take urgent action to stop more child deaths. The more people involved in the week’s events, the easier it will be for world leaders to see there is a real desire for change – we are calling for people across the globe to take one simple action to raise their hands so that all children can Survive 5!

You can get involved by taking five easy actions!

• Show your support on our Photowall – take a photo of yourself with your hands up, post to the wall and say “I want all children to Survive 5!”
• Help the week start with a bang and sign up to our Thunderclap
• Help create a buzz online – like Child Health Now on Facebook and follow on Twitter
• Take the Child Health Now pledge and show your support to help children Survive 5;
• Find out more about the issues behind the Global Week of Action – watch and share the new video above!
