In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Algorev is an association that was established by Algoé employes, from the outset of 2002 it has been registered as a business project. These sponsorship missions are carried out, equally, between work time and the volunteer's personal time. Over 50% of employees have been volunteering since its inception.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

These skill-based sponsorship missions are intended for associations and foundations working for humanitarian and solidarity purposes. They contribute to project development by exhibiting professionalism, providing skills and supporting association leaders.

What is the potential of this project to expand and develop? Edit

Participating in the social development of Algoé is an initiative that strengthens the internal social cohesion and develops resourcefulness, creativity and solidarity. The goal is to make it easier for people with skills to access this sponsorship (total of 220 people) within the company, this includes consultants as well as support functions. One hundred days of working time are provided by the company. This figure is expected to grow in the coming years.

What was the triggering factor of this project? Edit

The triggering factor was the implementation of the ARTT agreement (reduction of working hours) reached at the end of the 90's. Two employees have taken the initiative to propose to management to put in the portion of the available time for public interest.

What is the business model of this project? Edit

Two variables come into play. Travel expenses are covered by Algoé and the time allocated for the mission is divided equally between work and personal time. It is the same for in-house facilitators.
