New York's Last Hidden Gem

As you travel along the 4 train in New York you pass by neighborhoods famous around the world. From Brooklyn you make your way past Wall Street, Union Square, Grand Central, Hunter College, and eventually all the way past 125th Street in Harlem. Not many New Yorkers make it past the Upper East Side. If you stay on this train for another fifteen minutes you will find yourself in Manhattan’s tougher older brother – the Bronx.

Focus Week: Mapping Social Innovation

This month, we’re initiating a new approach to group and community participation. Focus Weeks will use broad themes to collaboratively explore several facets of social innovation. During those Focus Weeks we will encourage you to participate in collaborative activities and spread the word about stimulating projects, social actors, and relevant content. Those theme-based Focus Weeks will occur each month. In order to expand social innovation’s knowledge base, we will wrap up each Focus Week with an overview of the week’s activities and contents. This overview will then be available on our site.
