Mapping Innovators

This week, Imagination for People (I4P) focuses on innovative uses of maps and geolocation in social projects.

During the past few years, social projects making use of mapping tools, geolocation, and maps have taken a fascinating turn. From disparate ideas and initiatives, they have developed into something of a “scene”, within the domain of social innovation. Focus Week: Mapping Social Innovation

This month, we’re initiating a new approach to group and community participation. Focus Weeks will use broad themes to collaboratively explore several facets of social innovation. During those Focus Weeks we will encourage you to participate in collaborative activities and spread the word about stimulating projects, social actors, and relevant content. Those theme-based Focus Weeks will occur each month. In order to expand social innovation’s knowledge base, we will wrap up each Focus Week with an overview of the week’s activities and contents. This overview will then be available on our site.
